You say “blue and orange” to any basketball fan and they’ll respond “New York Knicks.” Those two colors are synonymous with the fame New York franchise. Reebok has used these colors to make a special release Reebok Pumps for XLarge/VA and mita sneakers in Japan.

Anytime I see these Pumps it brings me back to 1991 slam dunk contest with Shawn Kemp and Dee Brown, where Dee pumps the kicks before his dunks!

Back from a mini hiatus (update)

Alright so I’m back. Excuse my non-posts. The past few weeks have been pretty busy. Working on new tee-designs and my day/night job has been filling up my hours.

Big thing to note…I’m dropping the price of the “middle finger” tee down to $15. I need to move the last few that are left, so snatch them up.

And now I leave you with this latest released new video from Kanye for his song featuring Kid Cudi, Welcome to Heartbreak, off his new album 808’s and Heartbreak. The video may seem strange or wacked out but in fact it’s Kanye pushing the envelope once again with new techniques which we haven’t seen in a music video before.

A middle finger goes out to the Associated Press

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , on February 10, 2009 by disekt

Well, if you haven’t heard the Associated Press is suing Shepard Fairey for copyright infringement.  Apparently, the world famous Obama Portrait was based a on photo that the AP has the rights to and Shepard never retain the rights to use.

Here’s a case of a corporate bully wanting to get their share of the Obama pie. Now,  had Obama loss would this have even been a story. I’m sick of the corporate folks trying to bring in another revenue stream for their company.  Check out this article that talks more about this craziness.

Lebron torches Knicks

Posted in Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , , , on February 5, 2009 by disekt

I’m a HUGE hoop fan. Can watch it, and play it for hours. When I was younger I would play so much that my legs would twitch at night while I slept. So when a good buddy of mine tells me he has an extra ticket to checkout Lebron James at the “World’s Most Famous Arena,” you know I’m going! It was my first time seeing King James in person and the stars came out as well to check Lebron, Jay-Z, Diddy, Chris Rock, John Legend, Ciara, Spike and Knick legend Willis Reed were all in attendance. Now with all these celebs in the house you know Lebron had to perform and he did having a crazy stat line 52 pts, 11 Assists, and 10 rebounds! Lebron is the 2nd player in NBA history to have a triple double that included scoring more than 50 pts. The guy in front of him Wilt Chamberlin he had 53 pts. It was a great game the one negative thing I have to say is that Willis Reed was sitting my in section. Huh? you my say… Well I was sitting in section 125 which if you know the Garden it’s one level up from the floor which for $240 are pretty damn good seats for the common man, but for a Knick Legend?!!!In my opinion not so good. Reed should be sitting down near Spike and Jay-Z. What kind of respect is that, having Reed sit up there. Anyway here’s some pics and video I took at the game.

I just wanted to thank everyone who’s purchased my first design! I was a little hesitant about starting my clothing brand but now I know this is what I want to do. Thanks again. Stay tuned for the next release! I’ll be putting up a poll to see which one should be printed next. I have two old school tracks in mind of course. I’ll fill you in on the song selection in a few days.

Also, yes I still have shirts, though not many left…. so get ‘em while you can.

And a middle finger goes for all you punk MCs…

When I first had this idea of creating tee designs, using rappers/mc’s lyrics for inspiration, A Tribe Called Quest was the first group that popped into my head. There are so many different lyrics to chose from in their songs. Their wordplay is impeccable. While listening to “Check the Rhime,” there was one line that Phife dropped that I thought would make a great and powerful t-shirt which was…

“And middle finger goes for all you punk MCs, cus I love it when you wack MCs despise me.”

It was a line that grabbed me and stuck. You can buy this tee at the Disekt Shop. These were printed on a very limited run so get it while you can.

Also check out the video for Check the Rhime.
